Indian Textile Engineering Industry today is in need of technology innovations and there is almost no in-house R&D. The technological obsolescence combined with de-centralized status of Textile Industry has adversely affected the industry. As such, India ITME would like to make a conscious effort to built a connectivity and communication between the industry's needs and the ongoing research activities to ensure better use of time, facilities and funds for result oriented R & D.

As you may be aware, India ITME Society encourages and supports research activities in Textile Machinery & accessories through 2 prestigious institutions like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Powai and Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai (VJTI).

India ITME would like to initiate a process, whereby, there is a better interaction between the research work undertaken by these institutions and the requirement of the industry. As such, we request you to give us your feedback/suggestions on the topics and projects on which you would like research development work to be done.

This activity will benefit the industry and promote better quality research activity by the education institutions to work on and come out with industry relevant technology which can be commercialized.
